"DRG" has opportunities as an Inventory Arborist Technician. DRG is a leader in urban forestry, environmental, and utility consulting throughout the US and Canada. Position Description: The Inventory Arborist Technician will provide our government, commercial and not for profit clients with the services and solutions needed to efficiently and effectively manage trees and urban forests by inspecting trees and other vegetation and identify common defects. Identify and measure local tree species, understand their typical growth rates and recognize indicators of common diseases and pest infestations. Prescribe appropriate tree work needed to mitigate risk. Position Requirements: The work requires the ability to read, follow, and create maps while inspecting trees. This work will occur along city streets, parks, cemeteries, golf courses,ducation facilities, utility corridors, private residences, woodlots, wetlands, etc. Specific task training is provided. The work will be outside and occur in all weather conditions. Conducting work independently with excellent communication skills required. Education and Qualifications: ● You must be an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist to fill the position. ● Two to four year degree in Forestry, Urban Forestry, Horticulture, Arboriculture, Environmental Science, Plant Biology or other related discipline or equivalent experience in similar position is desired. ● Current Driver's License and Driving Record in good standing. ● Working knowledge of computers. Word, Excel, Google Applications, GIS.
